An oil painted cut-out from an old book, forming a layered and 3D image. The Image depicts my interpretation of the Resurrection Scene from the 1818 Novel, Frankenstein, by Mary Shelley. The scene is Inspired by the Novel’s many adaptions rather than the Book itself. For the Monster’s Body I used the David Sculpture by Michelangelo as reference. The cut-out has a Heart that Beats by Manipulating a Wooden Lever at the Top of the Book..
