a Woman’s Head Sculpted from Wood and Wire with a Minette Viewer Editor M-2 on the inside. One of the Eyes is Sculpted with Polymer Clay and Painted with Acrylic and Oil Paint. An 8mm Film print of Disney’s Dumbo is loaded on the Editor Viewer and Individual Frames are displayed on its viewer. The wooden part of the head is split into two, with Film in between, and illuminated from within by an LED. The 2 Film Reels resemble Mickey Mouse Ears.

Dementia causes Memory Loss, Confusion and in some cases Childlike behavior. Like film in an Editor or Splicer, your memories are constantly being ‘Edited’, ‘Cut’ and ‘Spliced’ in Confusing ways. The Mickey Mouse Ears and the Dumbo Film are used to represent the Childlike behavior caused by Dementia.
