Oil, Paper, Wood, Steel, Pencil, Glass, Vintage Frames, Tea, Venus Comb Shell
Oil Painted Butterfly and Moth wings on Tea-Stained paper. The wings are framed in two Vintage Frames with Curved glass. Between the wings is a Venus Comb Shell mimicking a Butterfly or Moth body. The Shell and Wings are mounted on a Wooden block with a Hand Operated Mechanism that makes the wings flap.
Humankind’s actions, causing the extinction of small seemingly insignificant creatures, cause a Butterfly Effect, damaging the Ecosystem in a significant and unforeseen way.
